The Little Thing
Global Hamlet is a place where people share their stories and ideas to be connected and united with their open minds and creative ideas.
In the beginning, no filmmaker dared to make a film about Covid. This film is made online and observed people’s life in different countries. When the Corona Pandemic hit our daily lives, everyone feared. They couldn’t cope with the situation. They were isolated and thought about that Virus, the little thing has changed their lives. Some of them found another little thing to survive the unsociable life. How could an invisible “Little Thing” affect our daily lives? How fragile are we when the little things would change our non-linear habits? Did we learn anything from Corona Time to be unified?

We will watch the answers:
This movie does different wonderful things to me. Show me that I am not alone, show me that everybody else thinks about life – like holding a mirror to see the “corona life” up against the old life. Show me how ordinary things get attention that before was something you did as an annoying obligation – cooking, doing things for yourself, being happy in the company of friends and family with no hurry.
You also learn a lot about yourself, getting calm. Normally we are used to only putting value into the work, we do, what we can obtain and perform for others to see, as if our identity only exists when we show those things to the world. Now you have to look at yourself – no audience, just you!. You have to decide what you will do, what you like to do – little things, that can fill your mind and soul – no rush – no rush.
This movie gave me a “kick”, told me: to calm down, be present in the little things you do, you are allowed to bury yourself in a good book for hours -and think if you can make other priorities in your life in the future – be calm and present in what you do!
I wish a lot of other people could see this. We all in this isolation need to have the messages from the good, thoughtful people give in this movie. This movie is fantastic documentation of a very new and hard time for the whole world. THANK YOU……
